22nd Annual Golf Tournament Results Congratulations to the AMIkids Space Coast team for raising over $36,000! Thanks to the efforts and generosity of our supporters, our 2011 golf tournament has proven to be the most successful fundraiser in 22 years.
Please join us next year for our 23rd Annual Space Coast Scramble on Saturday, May 5, 2012.
(L to R: Adrian and Francis) Viera Diagnostic Center out on the green at the 22nd Annual Space Coast Scramble
Viera Diagnostic Center was our major sponsor of the event and made an additional donation of $1,500 to the Margaret Olomu Academic Scholarship Fund, which was established by our board member, Francis Olomu, in honor of his mother. The scholarship funds are available to AMIkids Space Coast students and graduates who have earned their GED and exemplified positive academic habits.
(L to R) Board members Don Herndon, owner of Classic Wood Flooring and Andy Ziegler, school board member, greet players during the morning registration. Many great prizes were awarded this year, thanks to our generous community donors, to our top three golf teams and both women and men's longest drive and closest to the pin winners. Most notably, Ocean Partners Ltd. donated nine resort stays that were later raffled during the awards ceremony. Also, Classic Wood Flooring donated $1,500 in services for our hole-in-one winner. Unfortunately, we had a close call for the hole-in-one but no winner. Determined to contribute and donate his professional services, the owner of Classic Wood Flooring, Don Herndon, decided to split the award between the women and men's closest to the pin winners. Congratulations and thank you Classic Wood Flooring!
Thank you to our 2011 volunteers and golf tournament committee members:
