About the Program

One of the ways we help our kids is through our Boat Donation program. Through the generous donations of members of the community, we receive boats that are in various forms of working condition. With the help of the kids, we work on getting these boats back into running condition and then we resell them. This program benefits everyone: The donor gets rid of a vessel that has become more of a burden than a pleasure as well as the tax write-off; the students benefit from the instruction on motors and electrical systems, cleaning and maintainance of the boats; the Institute gets some revenue to continually improve our services, and the buyer gets a great deal on a boat!
